OUR PRIORITIES FOR THE 2026 BUDGET LAW:
♦ Stop rearmament. Invest instead in public health, education, long-term care, housing, and social policies.
♦ Tax the super-rich and fight tax evasion. End flat taxes and tax amnesties. Return to workers and pensioners the resources already taken through fiscal drag, and prevent new burdens in the future.
♦ Renew national collective agreements in both public and private sectors, with tax incentives on wage increases. Fight precarious work and in-work poverty. Introduce a statutory minimum wage and a law regulating representativeness in the private sector.
♦ Fully revalue pensions, extend the “fourteenth month” benefit to all workers, and overcome the Fornero pension reform. Guarantee pensions for young people and precarious workers.
♦ Promote industrial policies to prevent relocations, create new jobs, and manage the energy, environmental, and digital transitions. Support a genuine development strategy for southern Italy.
♦ Protect health and safety at work; reform the public procurement system.
The path chosen by the Italian government worsens the living and working conditions of the majority, penalising workers, pensioners, young people, and women.
